Report Overview
Editorial Principles
The 2024 Sustainability Report (hereinafter referred to as “this report”) is the fourth sustainability report published by Billion Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”; collectively referred to as the “Billion Group” when including the covered subsidiaries). The content structure of this report is prepared with reference to the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards issued by the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), following the eight reporting principles of GRI 2021: accuracy, balance, clarity, comparability, completeness, sustainability context, timeliness and verifiability. It also incorporates industry-specific disclosure topics and metrics from the HARDWARE sector of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). At the same time, it echoes the "Corporate Social Responsibility Best Practice Principles for TWSE/TPEx Listed Companies" and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Scope and Source
This report covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024. During the year, the Company merged with NoonSpare in April and established BEC Taiwan in August for communication product marketing and R&D. In December, VGwatt was renamed Billion EVC as part of business integration. The reporting scope has been updated accordingly from 2023.
The report includes Billion Electric (headquarters and Yilan Plant) and four subsidiaries: Billion Watts, Billion EVC, NoonSpare, and BEC Taiwan, excluding other subsidiaries and the U.S. BEC entity. Financial data follows the scope and timing of the consolidated statements, presented in NTD. Any exceptions are noted in the report.
It was compiled by relevant departments, reviewed by the Sustainability Committee, approved by the General Manager and Chairman, and finalized by the Board of Directors.
Issuance Overview
This is the Company’s fourth Sustainability Report, which is published annually on a regular basis.
